Wood is a high-tech, modern material
that succesfully competes with plastics and sheet metal in terms of
function and user-friendliness. Wood is environmentally compatible
and energy-efficient. There is hardly any need to add that it is also
beautiful.

|
Production of solid-wood products begins
and ends with customer input. Customer requirements steer the entire
production chain - right from the selection of trees for felling in
the forest.
SCA Timber is one of the largest sawmill companies in Europe and
includes seven sawmills, wood-processing units, distribution and
wholesale operations. The total production of solid-wood products
amounts to 1.8 million cubic meters.

Refinement at every stage
Using the latest technology, products are adapted to their
application areas - a system that we call Developed Timber. SCA has
developed special wood drying methods, for example, to ensure that
the wood attains the correct degree of dryness without twists or cracks.
While Europe is the main market for SCA's wood products, their
high quality, combined with SCA's ambitious environmental programs,
have also made the company's products sought-after in such demanding
markets as Japan and the US.
The production at SCA Timbers eight sawmills is certified according
to FSC (Forest Stewardship Council).
