Focusing high quality
Quality involves much more than just the product itself. No matter what we do, we try to make things as easy as possible for our customers. Through our technical customer service we offer customers personal contact, close cooperation and a high degree of customer service in order to solve eventual problems or to answer questions.

Environmental consideration is also related to good quality - our pulp is one of the most environmentally friendly on the market and is manufactured entirely without chlorine. All pulp products are available as FSC-certified.

Sustainable product development
Research and development is an important aspect of operations at Östrand in order for us to be at the forefront of product development. Östrand’s development unit works in close collaboration with SCA R&D Centre, with the aim of satisfying the various wishes of customers and to serve as an extra resource for technical problem solving. We are also able to offer our customers tailor-made solutions.

Kraft pulp
The Celeste product group comprises three strong, totally chlorine-free, softwood kraft pulps: Celeste, Celeste Strong and Celeste Tissue. Depending on our customer’s requirements, the pulps are manufactured with varying brightness levels. It can be delivered both sheet and flash dried.

CTMP
CTMP Star is a chemi-thermomechanical pulp, available in three grades; CTMP Star, CTMP Star Fluff produced from softwood and CTMP Star Birch. SCA’s patented High Temperature (HT) technology offers several unique advantages compared with other CTMP pulps. Thanks to the HT technology, SCA’s CTMP combines extra high freeness and bulk with low shive and fines content.

Absorption material - Airlaid
Luna is an airlaid material and depending on our customer’s requirements, the rolls are manufactured smooth or pattern calendared, in varying roll widths and roll diameters.
